Concussion Iterium is one of Tolman’s most long-evolving works, begun in Germany and completed many years later in the United States. Its intense blue field, crossed by sharp red-orange and turquoise forms, carries a sense of impact, movement, and transition. The painting reflects a journey across time and place, with color and gesture holding the tension between origin, disruption, and arrival.
