In Where The Water Meets The Land, Tolman draws on her lifelong connection to the ocean and coastal terrain. Turquoise water, dark depths, sand-colored earth, and mineral reds form a shifting boundary between sea and shore, while the use of oil, acrylic, and spices gives the surface a tactile, elemental presence.
